Scotland has voted to stay part of the United Kingdom. This means that they are not stupid, of course. But one and a half million people did vote for Alex Salmond and that is amazing. Beyond amazing actually. Doubtless some people did vote for an independent Scotland, not understanding what was really being offered.
Essentially, at the outset the offering was between status quo and giving power to Alex Salmond. Scotland would be separated from the English parliament certainly, but the idea was that Salmond seized power.
I don't know how many Scots realised that all the Yes campaign talk of the greater social feeling innate to the Scottish could only be delivered through him. Independent Scotland would be immensely wealthy (somehow), with almost free energy, free higher education, prescriptions, buses anything in fact. Hell, everything!
But Salmond isn't a socialist or anything like it. He is a hard nosed Communist and he knows that he mustn't tell you that or even more, most Scots wouldn't give him a second thought. Did not all his talk of a Utopia born of Scotland sound suspiciously like all communist regimes and their promises? Always promises.
But countries like North Korea and Venezuela under Chavez appeal to Salmond not because they are superb places for people to live free, unfettered lives, without the oppression of capitalism, but because of the power that resides with an elite.
Well, for now he is thwarted, but is violence his next option? It usually is for such people.

Leftist Influence
The biggest threat to freedom, Western democracy and the continued success that capitalism brings, is the pernicious propaganda of the Left. Knowing they cannot win any debate they have decided to use the general apathy of the public to insinuate Left ideas into their heads, by repeated exposure and flat lies.
A key aspect of course has been education, where teachers can be relied upon to spout any nonsense, even where the children can see through it, to support the Left indoctrination they received whilst training. The media, long the home of insubstantial and grossly over paid types, has always been a hot bed of idiot ideology. The luvvies love to love. They live in a cloud cuckoo land only slightly adrift of the Miss World contestants who constantly held fervent hopes for world peace.
They of course are key to the daily dissemination of ideology. A BBC sofa girl hounding a government official asking what should a family cut back on, heating, food or school trips; the communist angle. She seems to imply that any money the claimant requires should be made available, so is completely without any kind of thought process to back it up. But I bet she loved sounding tough and it was only a Conservative anyway.
A reporter in a new shopping centre in Leeds (where obviously there is no money because Thatcher destroyed and impoverished the North) has opened and the discussion was about struggling retailers, not least due to the bad weather. The reporter casually drops in that weather is now 'more variable', part of the climate change cant.
It is in these small yet persistent and indeed insistent ways that the Left brings a population to believe some amazing things. Almost everything that is said about Margaret Thatcher for instance is wrong, often a deliberately constructed lie. And yet many people believe the lies and many others think there must be some substance to them. Once again the Left pulls its favourite stunt, they lie and the normal people have to try to re-establish the truth.
Underlying all of this and coming ever closer by the day, is the desire by very dangerous people to destroy the way of life you enjoy. The Left don't have an overwhelming desire to bring immigrants to Britain, but if it destabilises society they will support unchecked immigration. Homosexual issues are not a fundamental Right (or wrong), but they can be used to destroy the family as a social norm and a social unit. They need to do this because families are the bedrock of a functioning society.
The education system is being debased because an intelligent 'working class' would be aspirant, would know it can achieve better, which undermines communism. And we need to be clear, we are talking about communism, not socialism. The Labour party is no longer socialist, for they do not seek to help the poor and disadvantaged, they seek to maintain those groups to consolidate their power and to always have someone to do the menial tasks that the elite still need doing, to maintain their wealth and lifestyle. Communism is for the masses, not them.
The reason Hacked Off have pushed themselves into the decisions on how the Press operate is because they claim it is overwhelmingly Right wing and lacks a social conscience. The truth of course is that it is overwhelmingly Left wing (which is why so much of it is so bad) and the social conscience will be provided by a Left wing state who will tell you what to do.
Are the communists really up to no good? It is apparent in everything around us, when you look. But also it is in the way they operate. The Left are secretive, because they must be; generally the public don't like them. What communist state was ever voted in? Even the EU, their greatest and largest scale project wouldn't try to rely on democracy!
But the Left is also a Hydra, so that, should one head be cut off, all the others carry on. Go on, start looking into bodies, organisations, charities, think tanks and Quango's. See how many there are, related to climate change, renewable energy, Press regulation and any other area where taxpayers money can be soaked up to pay for more Left oriented propaganda.
This is where we must stand and fight, where the next great battle must take place. Who will be the next Thatcher, to slay this dragon? Someone a million miles from the dilettantish uncomprehending, small thinker - Cameron. A real champion of the people, to not only oppose the Left, to tell things as they really are, but to also wield the sword and put it right..

The Dangers In Modern Politics
A number of problems with modern politics and politicians are plain to see; they only talk among themselves creating a bubble within which they exist, they all cleave to the centre ground and they lack dynamism. But for me, the underlying issues that drive them are the real problem.
Why do they all want to be centre oriented? Because being conservative, middle of the road is the least offensive position, gets the least objection. And modern politicians are looking for a magic formula to get elected and stay in power forever. There, already we have two dangerous problems coming together.
This means dynamic politicians need to be stifled and not allowed to 'rock the boat'. Now, some would point out that surely Blair was not of the staid mould, surely he was dynamic? But that is to confuse his personal greed and ambition for political machinations with political dynamism.
What in policy terms would you say Blair achieved? He banned hunting with dogs. And er, nothing else. Sure, he started a war with Iraq but that wasn't policy or for any other reason than he thought it would bring glory for his statesmanship. In fact of course, the Americans, on whom he was relying to do all the actual fighting and dying, had also entered the fray without any real clue.
Our politicians are quite keen to avoid any investigation into what they actually do, now that the EU pretty much runs everything (see the food safety scare currently running). The base level corruption of our politicians, evidenced by their expenses claims and much else, is due to the lack of oversight, lack of any real role and lack of effective leadership. Which is linked to that dynamism thing.
For me though there is a bigger problem with what is already a scandalous waste in politics and that is what this indolence allows to happen. Quietly, whilst no one in power can be bothered to do a job, certainly not properly, the Left are creeping through their agenda.
Morons who claim at various times to hold high office, put the weight of government and taxpayers money behind things solely designed to undermine the country; homosexual issues, racial, welfare and criminal issues, all of which result from a loss of moral certainty. And as a prize to show how powerful they are, to show the immense stupidity of politicians and to set their lust for corruption in train, the Left have promulgated the climate change scam.
Utterly unbelievable and easily proven wrong headed, the Left use it as a cipher for their power over politics. If they can get everyone to say that a clearly naked man is wearing a fine set of clothes then they truly have a grasp on power.
When our courts are prepared to put feral, serial thugs in to prison for taking another life and rate that life as worth two years loss of liberty, then the Left are surely succeeding. One day these very violent people will realise that the police do not see their job as protecting the public any more and will range at will across the country. The recent riots give a small foretaste of what we can expect.
At this point the Left will act decisively. They will seize power in the name of saving the country. They will use armed force to suppress the mayhem and martial law will be declared. Once they have achieved this, they will never let go. We will have a communist, totalitarian regime that essentially we invited by our indolence.
The curse of it is that all we need to break the chain leading to this outcome is a dynamic leader. Someone who will just say the things we need to do and then do them. A man (or woman) who will support the NHS whistleblowers and imprison those who did harm. More than that, someone who thinks the mass killing that has taken place is actually important, because it isn't being treated as such currently.
Someone who will say the EU and 'renewables' are both just costly scams and end our subservience to both. Someone who says that the country is broke and cut back government spending, which can easily be done by deleting the bits that don't actually do anything; Quango's, equality and diversity wallahs and great swathes of bureaucracy that merely gets in each others way (like the monolithic MoD that only serves to make costly mistakes and let the front line troops down).
It isn't difficult, but it isn't the work of a moment, though by God it would fundamentally transform the UK into a world leader again, not least in ideas. And saving us from the anarchy and destructiion long dreamed of by the Left would be a blessing itself. It is always difficult however to understand what you have saved yourself from. When we really do lock up a dangerous murderer, we can never know who remains alive as a result, who would otherwise have been killed.
Can you imagine a Britain where the police are polite and helpful, where they take the side of the law abiding against criminals and where they don't talk of 'preferable outcomes' and 'moral equality'?

Useful Idiots
It strikes me that, whilst much of what the Left does is destructive but hidden behind a plausible gloss, that this is not what the Left is about. You might consider revolution (in the real sense, not the pathetic, adolescent meaning the Left have) the ultimate expression of democracy. The will of the people and all that.
But, although the Left don't want any truck with the tenets of democracy, I believe they are well aware of the power of the people and manipulate it to avoid any 'revolution'. This requires lying and extreme actions to mislead. An example of course is the EU. Its goal is to create a non-democratic single superstate. This has always been its goal and it has always worked towards it, constantly seeking 'ever closer union' by tying together political and financial systems under central control.
That very few people seem to realise this is the goal of the EU is because the EU knew, from the outset that they had to hide their ambitions. Clearly they knew that what they wanted was not what the people wanted.
The Left relies to a very great extent on 'useful idiots'. These are people who go along with all kinds of dangerous notions because they fail to understand what is really going on.
Let me give you an example. Homosexual marriage. This is necessary to cure a terrible evil in society, right? Hardly. It is like a child not getting the sweets it likes. But the sense of victimisation, risen to outrage wherever possible is driven by Left activists. Their goal is to destabilise Western democracy and ultimately overthrow capitalism to be replaced by their pure communist rule.
The homosexual community is being used as useful idiots. Much as also are those who support the racism industry and political correctness. Racism of course, doesn't exist in anything like the manner or scope that you are continually assured it does. It is kept alive by people such as the race relations and equality bodies in government and charities. These organisations endlessly promote 'difference' and insist people remember their 'roots'.
By being divisive in this way they ensure friction. Multiculturalism as a creed is again merely designed to undermine a society; it could hardly do otherwise. It is not about tolerance, that is achieved in completely different ways and is a two way street, but instead creates fear and 'victims'.
Political Correctness is a device to help cover the tracks of Left attacks on society. If there are things you 'cannot say' then debate has been effectively closed down. And it works, both as a weapon and as an infection. If you want to see the proof watch any broadcast of 'Question Time'. Here you will see ranks of well meaning, educated people spouting arrant nonsense that they have been fed by the Left, at school and at college and university. These are places the Left target as the people in them are impressionable and are pathologically inclined to believe in utopian ideals.
It is a very broad subject and affects our society at every level, representing a threat to us of far greater magnitude than ever did Osama bin laden. Radical Islam is a violent arm of an attempt to impose an authoritarian, elite led government, so the Left are trying, via a different, less obvious route to achieve the same.
I think we have rather forgotten (and probably been helped by the Left infiltrated education system) exactly what the Left proposed when ideas were openly stated and debated. Communism is about a society where the creation of wealth is controlled and the distribution of that wealth is also centrally controlled. Obviously you are supposed to concentrate on the 'fairness' of this system 'to each according to need' rather than the inability of such systems to create wealth and more particularly who, exactly, these people are who will control the system.
It would be reasonable to ask why do the Left need to operate in the shadows. Well, clearly some of their aims are likely to frighten the horses (in an Animal Farm kind of way) but also because they cannot even win a debate. Consider, which would you rather have Roosevelt's America or Stalin's Russia?
Sure capitalism is imperfect but it isn't a system designed to benefit the few. Stepping around the usual Left accusation about the rich and the poor, how many people in America are above subsistence level? And how many people have been forcibly starved to death? How many sent to concentration camps for opposing murders by the state? The authoritarian state of the Left is trying by stealth to subvert Western civilisation and is succeeding.
It is common to understand that Stalin and those like him in the USSR ruled by terrorising the population into obedience. Think where this is happening now, where people need to live in fear of the state. The EU have xenophobia laws that are designed to make objection to the EU itself an offence. And in Britain we have more petty rules that impinge on daily life. Speed cameras are a particular mechanism for this. It is a 'technical' offence only, but is always enforced, even where no suggestion of harm exists. Indeed, local authorities often try to bias the use of these cameras by changing road speed limits for no other reason.
Police like to say, 'it is 30 for a reason'. If a policeman says this to you, ask what the reason is. He won't know. To say that it is an arbitrary speed limit for general safety, completely undermines a machine being able to 'punish' the breach of this rule, because it breaks the basis of good law. That it should meet the need for which it was designed. Sometimes, 34mph just doesn't matter. But the idea is to make you feel helpless. Under the control of authority. Comply at all times.
In fact, if the Left were to have a truthful motto, that they could openly state that reflected their objective, it would be 'resistance is futile'. But it isn't and we must.

The 'Muggers Club'
We know that Government has always been seen as a fathomless soft touch. Recently though, this has not only been refined into an art form, it has become relentless and unbridled. PFI is slightly different inasmuch that a very probably insane Chancellor agreed the concept with barely-able-to-believe their luck companies, who stood to make fortunes. Brown decided to give them huge amounts of money to build hospitals, as long as he could hide the debt 'off the books'.
In America a company tried a similar trick. You may have heard of them, Enron. Unfortunately the man behind the scheme here hasn't been imprisoned, but then as we will see, people 'at the top' don't pay for their crimes.
People, including me often refer to the recent parliamentary scandal as having involved MP's 'fiddling' their expenses. This is a convenient use of words for the MP's as another, more legally accurate word is fraud. The latter though tends to suggest court cases and imprisonment, whilst the former perhaps a rap on the knuckles. And on the whole, how were our fraudulent MP's dealt with?
Today of course, we are absorbed in the truly shocking actions of the saintly NHS. It is ironic, is it not, that the Left, prime squealers as they were at any criticism of this institution who have presided over its total annihilation by communism's most ardent adherents.
Tony Blair worked hard to incorporate just such people into any and every system he could, either by installation (giving them posts) or corruption (rewarding compliant behaviour) of current post holders. In his case, it wasn't ideological zeal, Blair never had any time for politics, it was just his own ego and lust for power, plus the need to feed the avarice of his 'socialist' wife.
The upshot though, is that he created a perfect storm. He inculcated a creed of greed, but not only in capitalists but in the communists too. (Communists don't just love power, they also realise that money is power and also makes life very tolerable). So, all those people who took state jobs 'because they are dedicated to serving the people' in their words, but known to everyone as incapable of surviving in the real world, suddenly found that their uselessness was overlooked. And their pay shot up.
No longer were public sector employees on low salaries but with decent pensions, with the ability to retire early. Now they had all of that plus better than private sector pay, plus the bosses were never held to be accountable (else someone might require the same of the Prime Minister!)
And private company bosses knew the floodgates were open. Not only could they demand and get, ridiculous pay packages but they could justify them by chasing government 'work' that would just keep giving. The NHS IT project for instance. Many times it was pointed out that it wasn't working, that it was taking a very long time to achieve nothing. The 'muggers club' was in action.
When the project was completed on time and to budget, the dream would be over, so the consultancies just kept working on getting it right, But strangely never did get there. Eventually, the pressure on politicians became unavoidable and the companies involved in NPfIT were told to deliver, basically, put up or shut up. So one by one they pulled out. Not even ashamed by possible accusations that they had been deliberately milking the public purse. Because those accusations were never made by the government.
Why not? I don't know. But consider this angle on the scandal of NHS care. The Francis report details people not fed, not given water, left in soiled bedsheets for days. Under-staffing is pointed to, but that doesn't quite cut it does it. It might mean that things take much longer than they should, but not the scale of what we have heard. That takes an absence of care.
But here is the point no-one seems to be making. Relatives knew what was going on and sometimes even pitched in to help. But why did their complaints register no response? Because the state machine is very good at hiding from its responsibilities. There is no mechanism that they fear to ensure justice. If you have a dispute with a company, sure they can make life hard, but usually they either fear the law or bad publicity.
The state however fears nothing. I was pursued for fours years (four years!) by HMRC for a sum of money I didn't owe. Why couldn't we get to the bottom of it? Because at the outset, surprised to owe the money, I asked where the debt had been incurred. For four years they refused to answer, but kept up a steady stream of threats including using their power to act as judge, jury and executioner to enter my house and seize property.
My son, completed a speed aware course (at great cost) to avoid a fine and penalty points. They later said he hadn't completed the online element and issued the penalty points anyway and also the fine, now increased by half again because 'he hadn't paid it on time!' Complaining merely brought the usual round of 'another department deals with that' and eventually, 'no one made a mistake'.
The state and its functionaries have become impossible to fight. And they know it. This whole culture of no accountability (and Cameron can complain about no doctors or nurses struck off, but politicians are so guarded as well) is at the root of the problem. You start to cure the malaise by making them accountable.
What senior public figures have we seen dealt with recently? Director of social services for Haringey, Shoesmith, who was a scapegoat to take the heat off Ed Balls, deserving of the sack even though she was. But even then she was given an enormous pay off. She now complains of being unemployable. Yes, well that would be because in the real world, incompetence is a bit of a barrier to getting a job.
And the senior police officer imprisoned for talking to the press. Her offence was 'misconduct in a public office' and she received 15 months, but would have been 3 years if it hadn't been for her pending adoption of a child(?) How many politicians have been guilty of this offence, not least over their expenses fraud? Certainly Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper.
But the policewoman was that despicable outcast of a character, the one thing the state sector cannot abide and will not tolerate, a whistleblower. There was no substantive proof that she asked for money, but even so what she did wasn't right. But how else do you get public sector people, politicians and all, to do their job properly? Definitely not by using the proper channels of complaint. We all know the ignore gene is present in any state employed boss.
Remember Andrew Wakefield? He was the doctor struck off for suggesting a link between autism and the MMR jab. I have no idea if he was on to something or not, but my suspicion is raised by the level of the reaction by the state and its goons. Struck off! Marietta Higgs didn't get that and she destroyed families and abused children! Blair went berserk, almost insisting his son had had the jab. But in all reality, probably hadn't. So no truth in Wakefield's assertion then.
Compare it with the reaction to the 'dodgy dossier' claim by Andrew Gilligan. Alistair Campbell went off the deep end denouncing the man endlessly and getting several people removed from their jobs. Only for us to find that Gilligan had been right and the famous liar, Campbell was, well, er, lying. And the ramifications for Campbell? Well of course, none.
The Left drives all of this naturally, being the parties of the big state. They want more state control, the removal of your wealth, so the state can decide who deserves what, whilst enriching themselves, introducing ever greater corruption and wasting money like water. They get you to believe the most stupid things, like global warming. There is no evidence Man is having any real affect on climate and they know it, but your acquiescence allows them to take ever greater power and ever more money.
The communists refer to people like this as useful idiots, because they implement outrageous calamities themselves, even though they suffer as a result. And the rich and powerful get richer and more powerful. But still claim to be communists - all in it together.
What Would Marx Have Done
Karl Marx wrote something that inspired a great many people to believe some amazing things and some to murder large numbers of people. I'm sure that is not what he meant. Marx of course was an arch sponger who deplored the idea of work (or at least, him having to do it) but was keen on wealth. Truly a New Labour man.
He believed in the inevitability of communism taking over the world. It was just one of those counter-intuitive things that excite people of a traditional 'Left' leaning. Why would any rational person believe what the Green lobbyists and activists have been saying about climate? It wasn't really based on anything and couldn't be substantiated.
Further, it was never a consensus scientific point of view, it was that those who dared speak out were vilified and threatened that held the line for this daft idea. As usual, the Left seized the institutions, here the 'scientific' media and the UN panel, before acting. Able to control the flow of information meant that they controlled minds. When has the Left not used propaganda? Hitler, as a militarist socialist used it directly and Stalin used it via the useful idiots.
And of course the fear that Marx might be right led to the depth of the Cold War and to events like Korea and Vietnam. For their part the Soviets accepted it and worked through violence to accelerate it and the West reacted strongly to contain it.
Yet communism is so at odds with human nature that it could never last itself. Sure we should always be alive to the dangers inherent in the ideology, look at the Global Warming scam and its costs, but also we should not fear it overall. It eats itself.

Joining The EU
The rules for joining the EU say that aspiring countries must have a democratic system, amongst other things. But I find myself wondering why. The EU has evolved its powers without reference to any of the private citizens of the European continent.
It is run by unelected bureaucrats and is designed to destroy democracy. So why must a country have democracy before the EU terminates it for them? And why would the Eastern European countries throw off the communist yoke, with a controlling Moscow backing their oppression, to the hand their sovereignty to an exact replica in the EU?
It's beyond me.

Cameron - Just An Illusion
Cameron has been giving a speech to 'business leaders' and despite these people actually knowing what is going on, Cameron still stuck to the imaginary world in his head. I doubt it is Game of Thrones, but some kind of virtual reality is swirling around inside his brain. Clearly, being properly educated doesn't mean you have any idea of how to apply that knowledge.
I'm not sure I believe in if any more, it's an illusion. The 'if' in question is, if Cameron is right. His speech for instance was formed around weasel words. His government he assured us, is doing 'all that it can' to get us out of economic crisis. This is a typical, throwaway line that is dropped into speeches because it sounds right. But Cameron must surely, know that he is far from active in debt reduction, or growth plans. And his audience there would know that at first hand.
What Cameron is actively engaged with is European integration, acquiescing to any demands from homosexual political activists, increasing national indebtedness, spending more, increasing taxation (mainly at the behest of 'green' political activists), subsidising another fantasy; 'carbon' reduction, allowing large companies to use their monopolistic situation to rip off customers, posturing and reminding us regularly that he is the Prime Minister.
So no, in no way is Cameron right, he isn't addressing the pressing issues and what he is doing is in the main, destructive. He isn't doing mad things that he thinks are political wizardry as did Gordon Brown, just things that make him feel important. He is the Prime Minister, you know.
At his speech he also 'got tough' with the EU. In his view getting tough means telling the rich countries (that would be France and Germany) to get on with supporting the poorer ones, in the eurozone. This is akin to a Samaritan giving advice on suicide to mentally unstable people. When he warned of break up, he clearly meant that he saw that as being as unthinkable as anyone else.
Naturally, given his track record on every other subject, doing the exact opposite of what Cameron thinks, is the right thing to do. The euro should not exist. It was only ever brought into being to assist in setting up a political union across Europe and the removal of national identity. Then the people would be required to stick to the laws emanating from the centre, just as Stalin did when he took over Eastern Europe after World War Two.
So, if you are finding life hard currently here are the reasons; the Left has undermined the legal system, policing, education and the Civil Service. Through 'environmentalism' they have forced governments to raise taxes and destroy businesses and the EU has brought about the financial ruin of Europe, including Britain. All of these efforts are made by authoritarians and authoritarianism is the creed of the Left; what we would call communism. It was the ideology of Stalin and Hitler and any attempt to portray Hitler as Right wing is to hide the reality, in no less a way than did communists who refused to criticise Stalin.
Our apathy to politics has allowed these people free rein and now we are reaping the whirlwind. If you don't want it to continue then wake up. When the attitude of all is to want to increase their lot and that opportunity should exist, then we will have the right political attitude to bring about a much fairer society. This would exclude not only communists such as Ed Balls, Ed Miliband and Ken Livingstone, but also the likes of Nick Clegg and David Cameron.
These people believe in a political system that denies justice and accretes power to the centre, to them. It is unacceptable.

Accepting Responsibility
We are children. We have allowed ourselves to be reduced to that situation. Today, no-one really takes responsibility, no-one seriously considers their place in the world. They worry about themselves certainly, but that is not the same thing.
On a recent programme on the BBC about the late Seventies we saw the culture of strikes that was prevalent. It was the exercise of power by Unions, with the political objective of destroying capitalist Britain (today, these people would be 'environmentalists'). It was suggested that the real point where they over stepped the mark, was the strike by support workers at Great Ormond Street hospital
A nurse was interviewed who said she couldn't do her job of caring for children and strike. She couldn't do it and be a member of a Union she said. And this is important; she realised, in an intelligent and perceptive way that people today cannot, that the two were linked.
In those days, people realised, generally, that what they voted for, what they required from a government had to work for all, had to be based on principles. You can see immediately how different this is from the situation today. Now, selfish greed is paramount.
This is why, despite the complete inability of anyone to explain why global warming is 'real', it has attained a global political importance that can only be described as hysterical. It is why we have binge drinking, a disrespect for the law, at a time when the police have also reconsidered their job and think they are political activists and have redirected their idea of crime. Now they fight a class war against the middle and upper classes (as defined by them) using tools of petty oppression; banning hunting, persecuting motorists, refusing to prevent crime.
We have to realise it is us, as voters who have allowed this to happen. Why have we allowed politicians to con us with their narrow, self important view of their role? Why do we allow Left activists to control our lives? Listen to the nurses conference, where the audience jeer and shout down reform and change in their industry. Not because it is right, but because they have been told by their communistic leadership to do so.
Lansley was perfectly frank with them, though could have pointed out that these people, who continue to insist on a saintly status, seem to have forgotten basic hygiene. We have just had a celebration, because hospital staff have discovered hand washing and this has had a miraculous effect on infection control.
They don't want to discuss the number of people the NHS kills, by which I mean people who otherwise would not have died, not where the outcome was predictable. The government are booed because of supposed cuts the staff are told about by their leadership, but any front line staff cuts are entirely due to the political machinations of the management. We know that historically, the Left, without a hint of conscience, fight Tory attempts to get things working by destroying the front line.
Managers are left in place and nurses sacked. Bureaucrats not only protect their own jobs in this way, but attempt to define the political battlefield as being their saintly health care professionals against a wicked, uncaring Tory government.
We have to stop our unthinking support for this nonsense. The Left and its lies have held sway for too long. And by way of proof look to two people for whom politics is a personal vehicle, not an ideological imperative. Alistair Campbell and Peter Mandelson may be associated with the Left, but this is not why they are seen as notorious liars. No, they do it simply because, today we accept lies at face value. The bigger the better.
Wake up Britain! When are we going to have our moment of realisation. After the war, communists and their fellow travellers refused to believe Stalin had murdered so many of his own people, that the gulags existed. We know better now, but it is a lesson for the stupidity of our age.

Exploding Europe
On it goes, in the age of Wishful Thinking'. First a person perceived as a true Tory gets voted in whilst Tories elsewhere in council elections get an absolute thrashing. (Ghastly to see how many people vote quite happily for a lying, wealthy, incompetent, hypocritical, Stalinist in the form of Ken Livingstone).
Then a raving Socialist is voted in, in France and Greece can't form a government. People voting against 'austerity', the belief seeming to be that if you don't vote for austerity bad things will go away. Maybe ostriches will inherit the earth.
Anyway it is clear no-one seriously wants to address the issue except Britain, where the people clearly want to vote for Conservative policies of growth, but the wet, leftie Cameron won't offer them this.
It will be funny watching the supremely arrogant Hollande, replacing the arrogant Sarkozy, pout and fume about everything that annoys him and promise his followers the world, delivering nothing but extra grief and debt. He is on a mission to destroy France. Good luck to him. He should also be a big boost to the destruction of the EU, which will help the whole of Europe a great deal. It seems it takes stupid people to finally destroy the stupid constructions of stupid people.
What should Greece do? Well, I think someone in Greece should take the bull by the horns and say that Greece, a once proud country must stand on its two feet and declare itself proud once again. It should print Drachma's in secret and then when all is ready, tell the Eurocrats that they no longer run Greece, that the Euro will be replaced with the Drachma, immediately and with an exchange rate set by Greeks.
If this means trouble for the banks that the EU is supporting, then so be it; they got themselves into this mess and they created the situation for the Greeks to be destroyed. It is only pigeons coming home to roost. Greece can then go about growing their economy and returning wealth to their people. To do this though, they have to abandon their lifelong love of Communism, it has held them back before. Surely they can see the communism of the EU project isn't working for them?
Socialism, by which these days means almost exclusively communists in hiding, has wrecked Europe with its repeated stabs at power. Most spectacularly it has caused the banking crisis by having Blair and Clinton in power at the same time, both courting money and power with banks. Authoritarians have had their day. It is time for their citadels to be torn down, the biggest of course being the EU.
Interesting also to see, as the EU begins its death squirms that it is lashing out at Britain, that constant bastion against authoritarians in Europe through the ages. They are trying to remove the 'old' idea of nations states, beginning here and we don't need to wonder why. They will seek to destroy our financial centres as it keeps us strong, just as they long ago forced us to break with the Commonwealth,
How much longer can we keep finding stupid people to run our politics? When will a leader emerge who can see the EU for what it is?

The Post Intellectual World
Isn't it strange that since the Left took over education and through political correctness much else, that everything is now so much worse? I mean, kids just don't have the education that used to be possible on a state controlled budget. The judiciary don't seem to have a firm grip on their role and senior police officers talk of taking all their officers off the streets, so they are instantly available to respond to reports of crime.
It seems almost impossible for people to be this stupid and yet the evidence is clear for all to see. How can it happen? Well, Orwell seemed to realise that, for a self-serving elite to take control, it had to create and use ignorant people. Stalin had his useful idiots, to create a fantasy of popular appeal.
Having failed after WW2 (a curious war, because it created a titanic struggle between two peoples, Russia and Germany both with the same ideology, but with a racial hatred of the other) to form a communist world, or Europe at least, others methods than democracy became imperative.
The Left had to insinuate itself into the institutions, all the better to undermine Western Civilisation. The vehicle of choice was environmentalism and specifically, global warming. You won't hear Cameron or Miliband talk of it come election time, but the logical outcome of a world wide threat, such as global warming is a world wide government. And that government, to fight this terrible plague, must do unpopular things, for our own good.
And only a government that doesn't need to be elected can be unpopular but still go about its work. So the world needs an unelected elite to take over and save the planet.
Let's just stop and think about this first though. Have we ever had a government that was able to do just what it wanted and how did that go? Well, let me see, there was the USSR where I believe tractor production was a never ending miracle of ever increasing numbers, North Korea where having enough to eat is a fairly basic problem for the greater part of the population. The European Union, for heaven's sake! I think you already get the idea.
Then there is the threat we face, global warming. How did we first discover it, what do we know and how do we know it? Ah, it was a theory postulated by not too clearly thinking through cause and effect regarding various gases and inter-actions in the atmosphere. Then the Left got hold of it and turned it into a politically useful monster. It was the invented crisis to drive us into the mindset that gave power to the waiting, malevolent elite.
What we know is this; they have conned you into believing 'carbon' is harmful and will destroy us all. They mean carbon dioxide, but carbon sounds nastier, dirty so they call it that. Accuracy is not the point, your being misled is. Plus it has the useful side effect of testing you. If you don't pull them up on it, they can be certain you are not paying attention. The story is that CO2 in the atmosphere, created by Man is causing the temperature to constantly rise, in a runaway greenhouse effect.
The problem for them is that they don't own science yet and not everyone is that stupid. So the fact that CO2 in the air continues to rise but temperatures haven't since 1998 tells you all you need to know. You have been lied to. On a massive scale. And all that expenditure and taxes to pay for it (much of it hidden in higher fuel bills) is completely and utterly unnecessary. Except, that was how they intended to destroy the Western World's economy.

WW2 And Communism Haven't Gone away
In the Thirties a drift towards more state intervention and an interest in communism was coming to the fore. The rise of authoritarian regimes in Germany, Italy and Russia, amongst others were the most dramatic examples. After the war, despite the evil contained within Nazism and the destruction it brought, even to Germany itself, it didn't quite result in a penitent nation. Germans, even with forced de-nazification programmes were still largely happier with Nazi control and a purge of Jews, than with what they had after.
Some of this was doubtless due to the fact that while Hitler was in power everything was wonderful at home. Then there was nothing. Germans struggled to put these things together, at best suggesting it should all just be forgotten. France, ever with an eye on the prize was looking for war reparations but didn't get them. Not only that but they too had done quite well under Nazi rule and lots of French people hankered for the day.
Communist and socialist parties were on the rise everywhere and this was not a swing to the left after Fascism, because the authoritarian is the way of the left. Fascism is more related to communism and its central planning and collectivisation. No, people were well aware that communism, in fine form under Stalin was not the way to go and yet they did. Except in Britain, where support for communism was minimal.
It just goes to show the differing mentalities; Britain stood firm whilst other European countries, primarily France just rolled over and became, on the whole willing collaborators. This then turned to a desire for more authoritarianism and the rebirth of the idea for a European superstate. It was the passion of madmen the like of which had started the war in the first place.
So it was here, from the post WW2 desire to have a planned economy, a planned society that our present distress was born. The current pig-headed approach to the Euro crisis is the same as the stupidity of the USSR and its five year plans and idiotic targets. The over-arching belief that France and Germany must run the whole of Europe, for its benefit and to do so requires the single currency. It doesn't matter how many ways you prove them wrong, they just carry on following an ideological dream.
How was Europe rebuilt after the devastation wrought by the war? By state spending, by raising taxes? No, the US launched the Marshall Plan which gave Europeans money to spend, pretty much as they liked, but to regrow their economies. Certainly the US saw some gain in doing so, but the plan was nevertheless very generous and very possibly genius. It saved Europe, without a doubt. Even at the time though, the French denied it helped, despite the fact that their nation may never have recovered without it. Some things never change.
So, the war left countries deeply in debt and with an enormous problem of homelessness due to the destruction of housing stock in addition to industry. How much did the Marshall Plan give, to kick start the rapid recovery that ensued? At today's prices, I understand it would be something like £200 billion.
Consider that and then think of the 'support' the IMF propose, the money being used to prop up Greece and Italy, Spain and Portugal. It vastly overwhelms the scale of the Marshall Plan, but what is the spending today achieving? Nothing. It is happening to support a currency that cannot work and a banking system that shows up the flaws. We are even inventing new money by printing it, to give to the banks.
We got into this mess through stupid political decisions and their effect on banking (forcing mortgages on those who couldn't afford it and lack of official over-sight) and it continues because of stupid politics. All of our problems stem from the wrong responses of our politicians to the shock of total war. Sixties architects forced dehumanising tower blocks on a bewildered society and praised themselves, until their folly was found out for what it was and some of the damned things fell down.
At least we learnt from that. The same cannot be said of politics, as it continues to career along towards collective planning and an authoritarian state, causing harm and devastation along the way. Look around you, from the Global Warming scam, born as it was of communist opportunism, seeing a chance to destroy capitalism, to the RSPCA and its attempts to seize control of its sector of society. The answer is always central control, central planning.
Time I think for some real politics, for some grown ups to take charge.
